The Office of the National Chairman (ONC), under the leadership of Senior Presidential Advisor Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo, has officially confirmed its support for the upcoming 13th Kabaka Birthday Run, reinforcing national efforts to combat HIV/AIDS.

The annual run, scheduled for April 12, 2026, will be held under the theme “Men for Good Health to Save the Girl Child and the Fight to End HIV/AIDS by 2030.” This year’s focus places strong emphasis on the role of men in promoting responsible health practices, reducing new HIV infections, and safeguarding the wellbeing of families and communities.

In a significant show of commitment, Hajjat Namyalo announced that the ONC has procured running kits worth UGX 15 million to support participation in the run. The contribution is aimed at mobilizing more Ugandans to take part in the campaign while amplifying awareness about HIV prevention and the importance of collective responsibility in ending the epidemic.

Speaking on the initiative, Hajjat Namyalo underscored the importance of engaging men as key partners in the fight against HIV/AIDS, noting that behavioral change and active involvement of all community members are critical to achieving the national goal of ending HIV/AIDS by 2030.

The Kabaka Birthday Run remains one of Uganda’s most prominent health awareness events, drawing thousands of participants annually. It continues to serve as a powerful platform for mobilizing communities, raising awareness, and strengthening partnerships in the fight against HIV/AIDS.

This year’s edition is expected to attract widespread participation from government agencies, cultural institutions, civil society organizations, and the general public, all متحد in the shared mission of building a healthier, HIV-free generation.
