The National Resistance Movement (NRM) has emerged from the recently concluded LC1 and Women Council elections with renewed confidence, a victory that many supporters attribute to the tireless grassroots mobilization spearheaded by the Office of the National Chairman (ONC). Under the guidance of President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, the ONC played a significant role in rallying communities, encouraging participation, and strengthening the party’s presence across the country.
At the center of this mobilization drive was Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo, the Manager of the Office of the National Chairman and Senior Presidential Advisor on Political Affairs. Widely praised by supporters for her energetic leadership, Hajjat Namyalo coordinated ONC structures, informal sector groups, pressure groups, and coordinators nationwide, ensuring that the party’s message reached voters at the grassroots. Her hands-on approach and consistent engagement with local communities have earned her recognition as one of the NRM’s key mobilizers.
Supporters say the election results reflect months of hard work, commitment, and strategic organization. In several areas where the NRM had previously struggled to maintain support, the party recorded improved performance following extensive grassroots campaigns led by the ONC team. Many party members credit Hajjat Namyalo’s determination, resilience, and close connection with ordinary wananchi for helping to rebuild confidence in the NRM and inspire greater participation in the electoral process.
Beyond election mobilization, Hajjat Namyalo has continued to champion the implementation of key government initiatives aimed at improving livelihoods. Through regular monitoring of wealth creation programs, promotion of the Parish Development Model (PDM), engagement with youth, women, market vendors, and other community groups, she has consistently encouraged Ugandans to embrace government programs designed to create jobs, increase household incomes, and accelerate socio-economic transformation.
As the NRM looks ahead to future political and development milestones, supporters remain optimistic that the partnership between President Museveni and the Office of the National Chairman will continue to strengthen the party’s grassroots structures. They believe Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo’s unwavering commitment to service, mobilization, and implementation of government programs will remain instrumental in consolidating the NRM’s support while advancing the country’s development agenda.
