    Honourable Daudi Kabanda, the Secretary General of the Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU), this evening confirmed Rt. Hon. Minister Oboth Oboth as the prospective Speaker of Uganda’s 12th Parliament. He made the significant announcement during a thanksgiving ceremony held in Kyungu, Mukono District, at the official residence of Honourable Minister Oboth Oboth.

    Addressing the congregation and invited dignitaries, Honourable Kabanda stated that the message he delivered was directly from His Excellency President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, reflecting the confidence and trust placed in Minister Oboth Oboth’s leadership abilities and long-standing service to the nation.

    The event attracted political leaders, cultural figures, religious representatives, and supporters from different parts of the country, all gathered to celebrate and appreciate Minister Oboth Oboth’s contribution to national development and public service. The atmosphere was marked by unity, gratitude, and optimism for Uganda’s political future.

    In his remarks, Honourable Kabanda praised Minister Oboth Oboth for his discipline, patriotism, and unwavering commitment to the principles of good governance. He emphasized that the leadership of the 12th Parliament requires an individual of integrity, wisdom, and experience capable of guiding the institution with dignity and impartiality.

    The announcement has already sparked widespread discussion within political circles, with many observers interpreting it as a strong indication of the direction the ruling establishment intends to take ahead of the forthcoming parliamentary leadership transitions.
