Mawokota North Member of Parliament Amelia Kyambadde today showered praise upon the incoming Speaker, Right Honourable Oboth Oboth, during a thanksgiving ceremony held in Kyungu, Mukono, where she attended as an invited guest. Speaking with admiration and confidence, Kyambadde described Oboth Oboth as a disciplined, visionary, and principled leader whose elevation to the prestigious office marks the beginning of a new era for Uganda’s Parliament. She emphasized that his calm temperament, intellectual depth, and unwavering commitment to national service make him exceptionally suited for the demanding role ahead.
Kyambadde further noted that the emergence of Oboth Oboth into the speakership presents a powerful opportunity to intensify the fight against corruption, not only within Parliament but across various government institutions. According to her, Uganda requires leaders who are fearless, transparent, and capable of restoring public trust in national governance structures.
