Ahead of the forthcoming Eid Al Adha celebrations, the Office of the National Chairman (ONC) Manager and Senior Presidential Advisor on Political Affairs, Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo Uzeiye, extended support to the Muslim community at Al Albaan Islamic Primary School, Masjid Noor in Kawaala through the donation of food items and a bull. The gesture was warmly received by Muslim women and local residents, who expressed gratitude for the continued support towards vulnerable families during important religious occasions.
While handing over the donation, Hajjat Namyalo clarified that the support had been provided by President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni through the Office of the National Chairman. She explained that her role was simply to deliver the President’s message of solidarity and care to the people. According to Hajjat Namyalo, the President remains deeply committed to standing with ordinary Ugandans, especially during significant celebrations such as Eid Al Adha.
She further urged Muslim families to embrace unity, discipline, love and harmony throughout the festive season. Hajjat Namyalo encouraged communities to use Eid as an opportunity to strengthen family ties and promote peaceful coexistence among citizens. Her message resonated strongly with the congregation, particularly women who commended the government’s continued outreach efforts.
In addition, Hajjat Namyalo revealed that immediately after the Eid festivities, the Office of the National Chairman would resume its nationwide empowerment programmes targeting women, youth and other vulnerable groups. She emphasized that the initiative aligns with President Museveni’s vision of improving household incomes, fighting poverty and empowering communities through wealth creation programmes across the country.
Speaking on behalf of the women at Masjid Noor, Hajjat Mariam Bashir applauded President Museveni for consistently remembering Muslim communities during challenging economic times and religious celebrations. She also praised Hajjat Namyalo for her unwavering commitment to empowering women and supporting ordinary Ugandans through various outreach programmes. The donation drive forms part of ONC’s broader community mobilisation and empowerment campaign aimed at uplifting livelihoods and promoting social welfare across Uganda.
