KYAMBOGO, UGANDA — Hajjat Hadija Namyalo, popularly known as Chief Muzzukulu, has called on Ugandans to 
actively participate in the upcoming LC1 Elections, urging citizens to vote for leaders with integrity, competence, and a genuine commitment to serving their communities.
Speaking during a press conference at her Kyambogo office, Hajjat Namyalo emphasized that effective leadership begins at the grassroots, where local leaders have the greatest impact on the daily lives of citizens. She encouraged eligible voters to turn up in large numbers on 28th July and play their part in strengthening democracy through active civic participation.
“You know who serves you best. Step out and entrust them with leadership. Vote for capacity and empathy,” Hajjat Namyalo said, urging voters to look beyond campaign promises and instead support candidates with proven ability and compassion for the people they seek to lead.
She noted that LC1 leaders are the first point of contact for many community issues, making the elections a crucial opportunity for citizens to choose representatives who understand local challenges and are committed to delivering practical solutions.
According to Hajjat Namyalo, high voter turnout is essential in building accountable and responsive local governments. She encouraged Ugandans to embrace their civic responsibility by participating peacefully and making informed decisions that will shape the future of their villages and communities.
