A special interfaith thanksgiving prayer service for First Lady Mama Janet Museveni has taken place at the Office of the National Chairman (ONC) Headquarters, bringing together faith leaders, political leaders, distinguished guests and members of the public.
The gathering was organised by ONC Manager Hajjat Hadija Namyalo as a moment for Ugandans from different backgrounds to come together in prayer and thanksgiving for Mama Janet’s healing and continued wellbeing.
The service was centred on gratitude to God for the First Lady’s recovery, with prayers seeking continued good health, strength and long life for Mama Janet Museveni.

Those gathered are also praying for President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, asking God to grant him and the First Lady long life, wisdom and strength as they continue serving the country and its people.
The interfaith service brought together different religious voices in a shared expression of faith, gratitude and hope. Participants used the occasion to reflect on the importance of prayer, unity and thanksgiving in the lives of Ugandans.
Hajjat Namyalo’s organisation of the service also underscores the ONC’s continued engagement with religious and community leaders on matters of national importance. The gathering provided an opportunity for leaders and members of the public to stand together in prayer for the wellbeing of the First Family and the nation.
As the prayers continued at ONC Headquarters, the gathering remained focused on thanksgiving and seeking God’s blessings upon Mama Janet Museveni, President Museveni and the people of Uganda.
