Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo, the Manager of the Office of the National Chairman (ONC), today paid a heartfelt visit to Kampala School for the Physically Handicapped (KSPH) in Mengo, in a gesture aimed at uplifting and supporting learners with special needs.
Upon her arrival, Hajjat Namyalo was warmly received by the school’s Director, Ms. Joy Mwesigwa, who introduced her to members of staff and expressed sincere appreciation for the visit. She described the engagement as a rare and meaningful opportunity for both learners and staff, noting that such moments bring encouragement and renewed hope to the school community. Ms. Mwesigwa also extended an invitation for a future visit that would allow for deeper interaction with the learners.
Speaking during the visit, Hajjat Namyalo shared that the outreach was inspired by her son, Rayan, who is celebrating his fifth birthday. She explained that Rayan had expressed a heartfelt wish to mark his special day by sharing joy with underprivileged children, a request that led to the visit to KSPH.
“As he celebrates turning five, he wanted other children to also feel the joy of the day. That is why we have come—to share with them and let them know they are loved and valued,” she said.
The visit was marked by the sharing of a birthday cake and other forms of support, all intended to bring smiles to the learners and remind them that they are appreciated. Hajjat Namyalo emphasized that the gesture carried sincere wishes for the children’s happiness, success, and a brighter future.
In her remarks, Ms. Mwesigwa commended the thoughtful initiative and extended blessings to young Rayan, describing him as a shining example of compassion and generosity at such a tender age. She encouraged him to continue being an ambassador for underprivileged children, noting that values of kindness and empathy, when nurtured early, have the power to positively transform communities.
The visit left a lasting impression on the learners and staff, serving as a powerful reminder of the impact of simple acts of kindness and the importance of inclusion, love, and community support.
